Academic
Spaulding Academy & Family Services offers year-round, comprehensive special educational services for students with emotional and behavioral disorders in grades K-8 and students with neurobehavioral disorders from kindergarten to age 21.
Spaulding Academy holds State of New Hampshire Department of Education (NHDOE) approval as a Special Education and Non-Public School to provide special education. The Academy offers year-round, comprehensive educational services for students with intensive needs, with autism and neurobehavioral disorders, and with medically-intensive needs for children ages 5 to 21. Certified teachers and professionals provide instruction with modification and accommodation as outlined by each student’s individual education plans (IEPs). To support students’ IEPs, Spaulding Academy & Family Services offers on-site related services, such as Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.
Spaulding Academy utilizes evidenced-based approaches with comprehensive educational programming tailored to improve student performance in academic, behavioral, adaptive, social, and career skills. We believe that all students belong in their home community. We strive to prepare students for return to a less restrictive environment and therefore our classrooms reflect general education requirements and design.
