Become a foster parent
At Spaulding we believe that every child deserves a loving home to learn and grow in. Becoming a foster parent can be an incredibly rewarding journey for not just the child in your care, but the entire family.
Foster parent support every step of the way
Foster parents play an integral role in the success and overall well-being of a child needing a temporary, safe and nurturing home. A good match is key to ensuring a beneficial experience for both the child and the family. Spaulding fully assesses the child’s needs, best interests and your parenting skills before placement. We remain committed to supporting our foster families every step of the way, including recruiting, training and licensing foster parents and providing support services based on the needs of the child and the family.

FAQs
What is a foster parent?
A foster parent is someone who can provide a temporary, safe, and nurturing home for a child in need. Foster parents are also part of a team that may include the biological parents, Case Workers, and others who are concerned about the safety, well-being and future of the child.
Who are the children?
Children placed in foster care range in age from 0-21 and come from all walks of life. A child may be the victim of abuse or neglect or may live in a family where there is alcohol, drug abuse or domestic violence. The child may have emotional, physical or behavioral problems that require special care or supervision and consistent parenting. They may transition from our Residential Care Program. All foster children need a safe and nurturing home which is why a good match is key to success. Spaulding will fully assess the needs of the child and your interests and parenting skills before a child is placed in your home.
