This past year brought joy, excitement and advancements to the Spaulding campus — from a newly expanded dining space to becoming the world’s first ever Choose Love Certified campus. In early November, our campus achieved another highly anticipated milestone: the launch of the first ever Spaulding Academy & Family Services podcast!
The podcast, dubbed the “Limitless Learning Podcast,” had been a dream of Charley Suter and Garrett Lavallee, both part of the Spaulding leadership team, for years. The 2024 expansion of our campus’s dining space and the addition of our Innovation Room, along with generous donations of podcasting equipment, finally propelled the duo’s podcasting dreams to actuality.
The first podcast episode featured Scarlett Lewis, founder of the Choose Love Movement, Shannon Desilets, Choose Love Movement – Community Wellness Administrator and even one of Spaulding’s own students, who courageously shared their story and the impact of the movement on their own life.
“It was incredible to hear the impact that Choose Love has had on a young person’s life.” Said Desilets, “Through the podcast, Spaulding is providing an opportunity — once again — for more connection with one another.”
Looking to the future, the “Limitless Learning Podcast” will serve as a catalyst for student and staff collaboration through the use of their math, science and language skills to deliver informative and interesting content to our listeners. Choosing Love in Every Moment:
This year our students are excited to continue to let their creativity flourish as they work on creating Choose Love tiles! Hand shaped and painted by our students, these Choose Love tiles will come together to create a collaborative mural for our campus, incorporating and showcasing visual representations of all the pillars of the Choose Love Equation!
