Facilities Housekeeper

Spaulding Academy & Family Services is seeking a Facilities Housekeeper to join our supportive and energetic team! This position ensures all Spaulding facilities are kept clean, safe, and welcoming by performing general daily routine cleaning tasks defined in the facility-cleaning checklist.

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate, or 4 years of housekeeping experience in a business setting in lieu of education.
  • Previous Housekeeping experience in a business setting preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a current valid New Hampshire Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
  • Completion of appropriate OSHA Safety Program training.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and work effectively when supervisors are not present.
  • Works safely with a variety of cleaning products, following recommended usage guidelines and PPE requirements established in manufacturer Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
  • Physical ability to perform routine lifting, carrying up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of cleaning concepts and safety procedures in all phases of housekeeping work.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Ability to clean and dispose of spills and bodily fluids using appropriate PPE and disposal guidelines.

 

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping (wet and dry) floors, stairways, etc.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms (sinks, floors, toilets, showers/tubs, mirrors, tile, etc.) and stocking paper supplies.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting hard surfaces such as counters, tables, desks, door handles, and light switches.
  • Emptying all trash receptacles, replacing can liners, and disposing of trash in appropriate dumpster.
  • General high and low dusting, cobweb removal, scuff mark removal, and cleaning windows and glass doors.
  • Cleaning kitchen appliances (inside and out), cabinet shelves, and drawers.
  • Additional duties or projects, as assigned.

Physical Setting

  • Work primarily on-site across the Spaulding Academy & Family Services campus.

 

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (5:00 AM – 1:00 PM). Staggered hours or overtime as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Support Services Management Team.
