Spaulding Academy & Family Services is seeking a full-time IT Manager to join our supportive and energetic team! In this role, you will provide technical leadership, supervision, and guidance to the technology team, ensuring comprehensive infrastructure support for our staff and programs consistent with agency standards.
This position serves as the lead facilitator for the integration of modern technology and cybersecurity practices into our multifaceted environment. You will work closely with a variety of internal departments—including Residential, Academic, and Behavioral Health—as well as with external vendors and stakeholders. The IT Manager ensures that Spaulding delivers reliable and secure technical services in a timely manner, utilizing the most up-to-date systems to provide our staff and students with the best opportunity to succeed and continue to grow.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar
- Technical certifications a plus
- At least five to eight (5-8) years of experience in Information Technology
- 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Knowledge and skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of networking, computer repair and virtual technologies.
- Strong hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lead, manage, mentor, and evaluate a small technical team.
- Knowledge of Windows server technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP, DNS
- Understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, LAN/WAN, VPN and other edge security devices.
- Ability to manage Office 365 environment, SharePoint, Azure, etc.
- Competent with software technologies and virus protection software systems.

Work Environment:
Office and active campus settings(s) with a combination of physical and desk work. All workdays are required to be onsite to support the needs of the campus, this is not a remote position. Position will require extended exposure to cool temperatures associated with network server rooms and closets. The job expectations include the ability to transition from building to building (exposed to the elements of the weather).
Schedule:
Weekdays. Full-time 40 hours per week. 8-hour shift start times can be flexible, based on the needs of the organization. On call responsibilities may be required at the discretion of the supervisor.
