Spaulding Academy & Family Services is seeking a fulltime Residential Counselor to join our supportive and energetic team! This role is to teach daily living skills, community integration, and socialization to students ranging from 4 to 21 years old while having case management responsibilities with specific student groups on the residence. Requirements
- BS or BA in psychology, sociology, counseling, mental health, special education, or a related field is preferred.
- Completion of the Residential Child/Youth Care Professional Certification endorsed & sanctioned by Spaulding.
- Must be 21 years of age.
Knowledge and Skills
- Successful completion of PCM training – must obtain certification as a Practitioner 2 for continued employment; 1st Aid, CPR, PBIS, medication distribution and the training sequence required by Spaulding for this position.
- Crisis management skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to teach and train new staff on online duties, willing to engage in open communication with direct supervisors and co-coworkers, role model behavior and work practice for other staff.

Schedule
- Full-time schedule – either Sunday through Wednesday, or Wednesday through Saturday. Weekday Shifts are from 2pm-10pm and Weekend Shifts are from 7am-10pm. Mandatory cottage meetings are Wednesday 12pm-2pm. Case Management and Committee Meetings as scheduled.
